Ordering & Customisation
How does personalisation work at What The Type? Every product we make is customised specifically for your order. Once you place an order, you share the details — a photo, a name, a memory — and we create your piece from scratch. Nothing is pre-made or sitting in stock.
Can I customise any product on the website? Yes — every product on What The Type is made to order and fully personalised. If you have a specific idea in mind that you don't see listed, feel free to DM us on Instagram or WhatsApp and we'll see what we can do.
Can I make changes to my order after placing it? We start working on your order as soon as it's placed, so changes may not always be possible. Reach out to us immediately via WhatsApp or Instagram DM if you need to make any changes and we'll do our best to help.
Can I place a bulk or corporate gifting order? Yes, we do bulk and corporate gifting orders. DM us on Instagram or write to us at hello@whathetype.in with your requirements and we'll get back to you with options and pricing.
Shipping & Delivery
Do you ship across India? Yes — we ship pan India from Hyderabad. Whether you're in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, or anywhere else in India, we'll get your order to you.
How long does delivery take? Your order takes 1–2 days to produce and is then dispatched. Delivery after dispatch typically takes 3–5 days, so you can expect your order within 4–7 days of placing it. You'll receive a tracking link once it's on its way.
Is shipping free? Yes — we offer free shipping on all orders above ₹1,499. For orders below ₹1,499, a shipping fee will be applied at checkout.
Will I get a tracking link for my order? Yes. Once your order is dispatched from Hyderabad, you'll receive a tracking link to follow your delivery. If you haven't received it within 3 days of ordering, reach out to us and we'll check for you.
Returns & Exchanges
Do you accept returns? We don't accept returns or offer refunds, as every order is made specifically for you. Because each piece is made from scratch, it cannot be restocked or resold once made.
What if my order arrives damaged? If your order arrives damaged, we'll replace it. Take clear photos of the damage and reach out to us within 24 hours of delivery via WhatsApp or Instagram DM. Share your order details and the photos, and we'll get a replacement made and shipped to you.
What if I'm not happy with the product? We put a lot of care into every order and want you to love what you receive. If there's an issue with quality or the product doesn't match what was agreed, reach out to us — we'll always try to make it right.
Payment
What payment methods do you accept? We accept all major payment methods including UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking, and wallets. Payment is collected securely at checkout.
Is it safe to pay on your website? Yes — all payments on our website are processed securely. We don't store any card or payment information on our end.
Can I pay on delivery? We currently don't offer cash on delivery, as every order is made to order and production begins only after payment is confirmed.
Product Quality
What materials do you use? We use quality materials for all our products and take care to ensure every piece is well-made before it leaves us.
Will the product look exactly like the photos on the website? We aim to represent our products as accurately as possible. Since every piece is personalised, the final product will be unique to your order. If you have specific expectations, feel free to DM us before ordering and we'll make sure we're aligned.
